Details:
Step One: Consultation. We would like to speak with you and your family members on the telephone, and introduce our team members and services to you. We will gladly explain our company's products, services, methods, pricing and deposits, and options with you so you can determine exactly which package is right for you. We have three packages outlined on the Packages page, but if you'd like to work together to custom-create a project together, that is no problem at all. Please feel free to share all of your questions and ideas with us, and our experienced team will be happy to help you.
Step Two: Pre-Interview. Once we've determined the type of project you'd like to do over the telephone, we would like to meet you and your family at the location you would like the video interview to take place. It could be your home, community center, activities room, or anywhere private and quiet where you feel most comfortable. We will use this time together to become acquainted and comfortable working together. Our team will survey the shooting location to best determine what is required technically for a great looking and sounding video interview. We'd also like to find out from you what are the most important ideas and stories that you'd like to convey in your project. Our team will review with you a suggested list of questions and topics that we'd like to cover in your interview and we will leave a copy of that with you and your family to review and make any notes. We will be happy to answer any additional questions you have about the recording/interview process, timeframe, delivery date, and package upgrades. If you choose a package with a photo album, this is the time that we will pick up your photos for scanning, and we will return them to you at delivery date with your DVDs. Please let us know at this time if you have any special needs or requirements that we'll need to know in advance. We will conclude the Pre-Interview by scheduling the interview date and time, and receive from you a deposit for our services.
Step Three: Interview. We will arrive at the designated interview location and greet you and your family. We request that a friend or family member be present with you for the duration of the interview process, because having a familiar face present will help everyone feel more comfortable and happy. We will set up our equipment, and test the cameras and microphones to ensure that the look and sound is professional quality. When you are ready, we'll begin the video interview and work our way through the topics and questions that we discussed in the pre-interview. We can take breaks whenever you'd like. Please keep in mind that this is a creative and sometimes improvisational project, and that your anecdotes, memories, and stories will sometimes trigger other ideas or thoughts. Let's make sure that we can get all of the great ideas into your project! This process will take at least two hours, and sometimes more depending on the client's wishes. Some of the topics we'd like to discuss in your interview are family, family history, childhood, school life, career, relationships, children, faith, favorites, travels, triumphs, adventures, humor and reflections.
Step Four: Followup-Interview. If you opt for one of our packages that requires a second interview (either with you or a spouse/family member), we will schedule with you another time to return to the same location to complete the interview process with you.
Step Five: Scanning Your Photos. If you opt for us to create a photo gallery of your favorite snapshot images, we will take your photographs at this time and scan them at our studios to incorporate into a slideshow photo gallery on your finished DVD project.
Step Six: Editing your Video. We will take the raw tapes from your interview and take them to our studio to edit your project into a professional and dynamic presentation. We will create title sequences, and edit out any uneven or unnecessary footage to make your presentation smooth and sequenced.
Step Seven: Duplication of DVDs. Let us know how many DVD copies you will ultimately require to share with your friends and family. We will create as many copies as you'd like and print them with labels of your choice.
Step Eight: Delivery of DVD to you. Our standard lead time from video shoot to delivery is between 1-2 weeks. We will let you know in advance the date that your project will be complete, and at that time we will deliver your DVDs, return your photographs, and take the remaining 50% of your fee.
